The moment I stepped into the store, I was greeted by an unfriendly and uninviting manager.

I felt incredibly uneasy the moment I wanted to ask to try a pair of jeans, and was told to not let the pants touch the floor even though they were naturally baggy and long, so it would be inevitable to have them drag.

I once had a curiosity for the brand, but that now has disappeared by the lack of hospitality.

I visited the Acne Studios store in Antwerp today, and unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve had the same negative experience with the store manager. The attitude is consistently unfriendly and dismissive – looking down on customers, giving unpleasant looks when browsing through the clothes, and generally coming across as rude. There’s no greeting, no “thank you,” not even a simple acknowledgment when you leave.

Personally, I find this extremely disappointing because I truly admire Acne Studios as a brand. To me, Acne Studios represents creativity, openness, and authenticity – not money, status, or arrogance. The way the Antwerp store manager behaves does not reflect the spirit of the brand at all, and it makes shopping there an unpleasant experience.

Honestly, I would recommend shopping at Renaissance Antwerp instead – the service there is far more welcoming and respectful, and that’s how the Acne Studios experience should feel.

RACIST!! The man who was working there when I visited the store was incredibly racist. He made unnecessary racist remarks on a presumption that was Chinese even though I'm not even from China or of Chinese descent. He kept telling me that the model I was looking for is just a trendy item in China, that "you people" only go for trends and people "here" go for other interesting pieces, not just the ones that are trending. After all the snarky and racist remarks, he ended up asking me where I'm from and I told him Canada but he never stopped with the racist attitude, not to say that it was acceptable by any means if I wasn't from Canada. Unbelievable

Nice shopping experience. This is the only acne studios boutique in Belgium. The male salesman is friendly and talkative. I finally bought this scarf which is a good product. The store is not big but contains the basic products. I’m satisfied with this Joyful purchase.

The shop manager was rude and made me feel unwelcome, clearly judging me based on my appearance. He watched me as if I had bad intentions and even told me not to touch the shoes or scarves because they were “very expensive.” The experience was uncomfortable and unfair—definitely avoid this store. Gave me the ick.

We had a wonderful experience at the store! The employee was incredibly friendly and kindly reminded us not to take any photos, emphasizing the importance of showing respect for the clothing. It was clear that they hold the garments in high regard and encourage others to do the same. We also had a great conversation and received several thoughtful recommendations, which we truly appreciated.

I rarely leave reviews with the shop I visit but I have to make an exception for the excellent customer service that Peter the manager gave to us while we were there. I finally bought the scarf I have been wanting to have with his help and advice. Very kind, sweet and approachable. He even shared about the history of this shop and how it started. Thank you Peter for the wonderful and welcoming experience. I will surely comeback! This should be how the service & attention the highend brands should give to customers.
