I have been a patient with Dr. Chibas for 3 yrs now and I am very happy with her. She is an amazing Doctor with a very sweet being. I just went for a pap smear and she was very friendly. She answered all my questions and took her time with me during my visit. She gave me great advice on how to manage my ostopenia and adjusted my calcium dosage. I am so grateful for her. She is very experienced and always happy. Her staff is very helpful in scheduling and answering questions. So grateful to have her in the Valley!?

I'm not the kind of person who writes reviews, but in this case I feel like I have to.
My husband called today to make an appointment for me with Dr. Marisel R. Chibas and he had a very bad experience with the lady that answers the phone. He warned me she was not helpful at all - asking technical questions and having no patience for helping him answer them. After eventually working through the questions, he told her that I was going to call back so I could give all my information for the appointment. I called to make an appointment for a general check up and she acted like this was an unworkable request after I explain and asked for orientation for what I wanted, as if I was stupid. She kept impatiently asking "What do you want?" as if there was some menu to order off of that we didn't know about. Very mean and very poor customer service, at least to my husband and me, both in different calls.
Medical professionals provide services, I shouldn't feel like I'm holding up a drive-thru line if I need small amount of general counsel while setting up an appointment.
Really disappointing, after choosing Dr. Marisel for the "good" reviews we read online.
Shame for the great doctor, sometimes the face of the business has to be a receptionist that ruins your experience and makes you not want to go there.

I love love love Dr.Chibas! She perform my bilateral salpingectomy on February 2020. Easiest process ever, she made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Her office is super clean and the staff is so kind. I never felt nervous about the whole procedure because of how caring they were.

Terrible terrible receptionist. I assume she arrives late to work or doesn't feel like answering the phone. I called several times after 9am on a Tuesday and the answering machine said they were closed. I called again a couple weeks later and same thing over and over even though online it said they were open. I show up and sure enough it was opened and I finally was able to make an appointment. I ended up making an appointment with another gynecologist who could see me sooner. When trying to cancel my appointment same thing happened but this time with lunch hour. The answering machine kept saying they were closed for lunch and it said the same thing even after 2pm. I tried one last time at 2:30pm and still said closed for lunch. I had to stop by AGAIN just to cancel and sure enough it was open but nobody at the front desk to attend. The receptionist really doesn't like to work, doesnt like answering the phone and takes a really long lunch.

Dr Chibas is one of the best OBGYNs in the valley! I've been going to her for almost 10 years now and she is still just as respectful kind and professional as always. She listens to your concerns and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. she cares so much about her patients beyond just going in for something as simple as a pap smear; she asks you how your day is going and actually cares about what your response is

The staff is also very good and friendly

Dr. Chibas is a kind, attentive doctor. She was thorough with her evaluation of my 80 year old mother's gyno condition. My mom is also handicapped & uses a walker.
BUT, the front desk staff are rude, inconsiderate, inpatient snobs. During lunch the office is closed but reopens at 1:30 PM. They will not answer the phone until 1:30. My mom's appointment was at 1:30 & we arrived 1:25. August temperature was 112 degrees outside. At 1:30 PM the front desk receptionist answered the phone when i called but she wouldn't open the front door to let us in at 1:30. She told me that my mother & I had to wait in my car until they were ready for us then they would call us and let us inside the building. I'm thinking, but we're on time for our 1:30 appt and you can let us in to sit in the waiting area. I looked in the big parking lot and except for my car there were 2-3 other cars parked there. During this whole time i kept calling the office to at least let us come inside the waiting area but their phone line was busy for15 minutes until they finally answered my call at 1:47. I asked if i could please come inside to wait, that it was hot. She put me on hold. When she came back on the line she said, "okay, I'll unlock the door and you can enter." I helped my mom with her walker and into the waiting/sitting area & front desk. NO OTHER PATIENT WAS WAITING OR SITTING IN THE WAITING AREA. I was quite upset. I decided to wait til checkout to ask the receptionist why she didn't let us come inside when we arrived on time for our 1:30 appt. She said, "you have to understand that it's due to COVID-19." I'm like, yes, i understand but the very huge waiting area was empty and no one waiting. We had more than ample, huge enough space in the vast waiting area to sit, keep more the 6 ft distance and wait for the doctor who by the way I saw her pulling up the parking lot 15 minutes late. The receptionist replied, "don't you have air conditioning in your car?" I replied that i did and that i kept my engine running to keep the ac on. Why did she assume that my 10 year old car would have ac working at new car 100% efficiency? She had an attitude face & never took any responsibility and told me that she just follows the rules and for me to speak to Patty, the office manager. All in all, a total disregard for humans and making patients wait in their cars when it's 112 degrees. Oh and BTW, this receptionist was not wearing a face mask. I thought to myself, if you were so worried about letting me and my elderly mom inside the office because you were concerned about contracting COVID-19 from us, shouldn't you be wearing face protection? Where's your office protocol on being safe?

Update August 24: speaking to my sister-in-law about this experience, she informed me that her office colleagues had also told her about the same issue with the rude, arrogant front desk receptionist. Wow, incredible. What's more upsetting is that the office manager is oblivious to this happening. Someone needs to be held accountable.
