Lots of 1 star reviews for insurance claims that staff here presumably have no control over, but full 5 stars for the international drivers permits. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the whole process only took about 10 minutes

Went in to get my international licence sorted on my lunch break and was served by a lovely British man (whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten!!) and could not have had a better experience. Lovely chat, very knowledgeable and quick service the whole way through. Could not have been happier with the service provided

Extremely poor and unprofessional wood ethic and client management.
I have received a renewal invoice document from RACV (aprox $1800) which was slightly higher that that the previous year (approximately $1500). I had then contacted RACV in attempt to reduce the amount by making changes to the policy.
During the call, RACV informed me that my premium for 2024 was approximately $3600 as stated in their system. This was almost double to what was originally invoiced.
Upon clarifying and with the changes made, another renewal invoice was sent out to me, this time for the amount of approximately $1700.
I had then logged into my account a few days later to pay the amount invoiced, but to my surprise the amount listed online was approximately $3500.
I again contacted RACV for clarification. I specifically instructed the operator ‘I DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THIS AMOUNT’ until we sort out this issue.
Regardless, he still put the amount through and I was charged for $3500.
He apologize and immediately initiated the refund; and advised me that the refund would be cleared in a week. He further advised me that I should BPAY the invoiced amount of approximately $1700, as there was clearly an issue with the system.
I did the BPAY the same day.
A week later another RACV operator made contact and informed me the amount to be refunded was $1700.
This is not acceptable.
I proceeded to instruct the operator to cancel all out my policies, and initiate a refund of all amount paid (approximately $5200)
I was advised that this process will take 4 days.
That was last week and today we rang RACV. We were told that this will take another week and to call and check in end of next week if the refund hasn’t occurred.
RIDICULOUS.
NO ONE SEEM TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING, THERE IS AN OBVIOUS ISSUE WITH THE SYSTEMS. I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF RACV FOR YEARS, AND THE’VE NOT STOP MESSING US AROUND.

RACV home insurance. Absolutely appalling customer service. You either spend hours on phone to get through or no-one answers emails. Only time they are fast and efficient is when issuing premiums and collecting payment. If you try to make a claim, the opposite is true. Having been waiting for 5 months to settle a small home claim and still not finalised.

Absolute waste of money, don't do your car insurance with RACV, it's been over a month and a week now and my car still hasn't been fixed but they've had non issues taking their money for it. NEVER go through insurance unless your car is being written off, the biggest waste of your money and your time, ridiculous. They don't even deserve the one star rating.

My Toyota Rav4 AWD sensor was damaged right after the RACV battery replacement service and RACV refused to cover the cost. Don't buy the insurance from them.
