Dr Valor and his staff are phenomenal ! They are busy but truly worth the wait. Dr Valor is very thorough and has helped both my parents for many years.

This review is a long time coming! My first and only visit with this doctor was horrible. Please note this visit was back in 2009 and I am still traumatized. I arrived for my appointment on time and had to wait THREE HOURS before I saw dr. vAlor. When I finally saw dr. vAlor he looked at my x-rays (that I brought with me) he listened to my lungs and said "you have asthma, come back for a PFT". He spent less than 15 minutes with me! I was misdiagnosed! I have EMPHYSEMA! If I would have been correctly diagnosed maybe my condition would not have progressed as it has. Even after all these years that visit with dr. vAlor still upsets me. I want others to be aware and get a second opinion or just see a different doctor.

I thought I was in good hands when Dr. Valor was referred by my doctor for a persistent cough, but now I look back and realize that he was not the one who would cure me. He ordered chest X-rays, prescribed me some medication and said to follow up in one month. Medication did nothing for the cough. He wanted to run other tests to rule out any other issues that may cause the symptoms. He said that he would like to schedule a “home study sleep test”. That’s ludicrous!! A home study sleep test has absolutely nothing to do with my condition! It is evident that he was using me as a guinea pig, he doesn’t have my best interest in mind whatsoever and his actions are not in my favor. He obviously is in the profession for the money and not his patients.

UPPER MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO MAKE MUCH NEEDED IMPROVEMENTS HERE!! STAFF SCHEDULES TOO MANY PATIENTS IN THE SAME TIME SLOT, WAITING 2 - 3 HRS FROM YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME! ?THIS IS RIDICULOUSLY UNFAIR DISRESPECTFUL AND UNACCEPTABLE!!! HAVE SOME EMPATHY AND COMPASSION! MY TIME IS VERY VALUABLE AND I DON’T APPRECIATE 2+ HOURS LONG WAIT TO BE SEEN!!!

I wasted my time and money for nothing! Very frustrating and disappointing! Needless to say, I will be going somewhere else. My advice is if you are looking for a Pulmonary Specialist, look elsewhere. Good luck to everyone in your search!

FOR THESE REASONS THIS FACILITY GETS 1 STAR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTORS PRACTICE TO ANYONE!!!! ?

This is about Doret Stringer and how her misinformation led the Dr to miss treat me.
I waited a month to write this review to see if the office or Dr. ever apologized. The apology never came so it is with a heavy heart that I write this review. Attached you will find the review I left a year ago (5 stars)! It’s true … it’s always hard to get through the phone and the wait time in the office is long. I never minded because the staff was really nice. And Dr. Cendan took great care of me and took his time, so I knew he was taking his time with everyone else. The front desk lady which I forgot her name ? is amazing! And she’s the one that got me through to the Dr!
The rest is why I write this review that deserves 0 stars. Unfortunately there was a change of staff. Oh how I miss Tatiana and Ashley! Tatiana was the one that got me started on the biologics medication but she left early on and Ashley took over. Let me just say that she was phenomenal! I left Miami but wanted to keep him as a Dr so I would drive down 6 hours to Miami when needed. Dr. Cendan said that was fine since now he really only had to see me once a year for follow ups. Ashley would always go above and beyond to get refills and medication paper work on time. Until she left and Doret Stringer came along. My first interaction I could already tell she wasn’t as knowledgeable of the system and we struggled a bit but figured it out. I told her that in a month I was going to have to reapply for the patient assistant program and that’s when it all hit the fan!
-Doret Stringer on Monday 3/25/24 at 8 am said the following to me. “ I’ve been meaning to call you, the Dr. said he is no longer going to sign it so GO FIND ANOTHER DR.” I asked her why, her response was “I have two other patients I will talk later”. She never called or answered her extension or emails.. this happened a week before the application that I had sent to the office a month before hand was due!
-Ms. Doret Stringer was somehow misinformed and misinformed the Dr. That same paper work that he was made to believe was so complicated, Ashley (the previous employee) completed it in a day and Nucala processed it in a week. I was able to find a new pulmonologist, I saw him 4/1/24 and they submitted the paper work 4/1/24 and Nucala received it 4/1/24 and by 4/8/24 I had been approved. Something Doret Stringer for whatever reason wasn’t able to do. This miss information led to Dr. Cendan reprimanding me!!! claiming I wasn’t patient that they had done everything (waiting for a month for them to sign a paper that Nucala never received!!!) and telling me that Doret Stringer never said that! Never let me speak. I was gaslighted by my own Dr! That alone took me sometime to process.
—Important fact, for future patients dealing with something similar with expensive medication (biologics). when you don’t have insurance the process is faster. The only thing the Drs office has to submit is your diagnosis, the medication being requested, stating that you don’t have insurance (the office has proof I have been paying out of pocket) and Dr.s signature. Nucala does the rest. I’m not sure why Doret Stringer wanted to get rid of me, but she succeeded.

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND DO NOT COME HERE. This is the most unorganized doctor's office I have ever been to. They never sent out my medication, I called multiple times for multiple days, even left tons of voicemails and till this day...NO CALL BACK OR RESPONSE. I have showed up twice to this office to give a complaint regarding the lack of response and my high demand to receive my rescue medication. The first time, they said they will give a call back after sending the prescription to my pharmacy...A WEEK LATER OF WAITING STILL NOTHING. I showed up again after that, I spoke to one of the nurse practitioners and she said they will send it "again" (which my pharmacy never received anything from Dr Valor's office). Unbelievably, they did not send my medication again. This place is a disgrace. I gave them the benefit of the doubt yet they continued to disappoint. If you are looking for a pulmonologist, look elsewhere.
