My review was taken down yet again, not sure why when none of what I said or showed was false but I worked here for a year and everything was pretty much okay up until recently. The warehouse team lead romolo did not train me or any of the new hires that were brought in. I was basically thrown to the wolves and I would have failed had a fellow coworker not stepped in to train me. This place was a mess until myself and the other coworkers took initiative to better the workplace since leadership/management was non-existent. They had me driving a forklift with no certification for almost my entire employment and only gave it to me because I kept begging to get it. Many safety hazards across the warehouse. My fellow coworkers and I created an efficient system of pulling orders and began to crank them out. We even got so far as a month and a half ahead on orders. As a result of being so far ahead, there was little to no work which we were then punished for instead of being rewarded for our hard work. We were told as long as we have a broom in our hand we can stay on the clock. I found that insulting as I was hired to pull orders, not be a janitor. For the entire year we have had to manage ourselves and “look busy” so we didn’t get yelled at by a team lead who didn’t do anything but walk around and talk instead of doing his job. Team lead was also caught in these photos below asleep on pallets during work hours which is unprofessional and hazardous. This is the type of behavior that is allowed at SE Retail. There’s also been hazardous instances where people were lifted up into the racks on pallets. People being allowed to sleep on the job is not professional at all. The warehouse Admins adi and Amy were not professional at all. Every time that there was a truck that had arrived to pick up his load they never had what we needed ready. That includes items such as the load sheet or the bill of lading. There were many instances where the product wasn’t ready and we were told by them, “oh well we have two hours to load them so tell them to wait.” There were also issues with favoritism and nepotism. The team leads uncle is the warehouse manager so you know how that goes. The team lead romolo was recently exposed for making advances and sending inappropriate pictures to an employee and even though it was brought to the manager and HR’s attention they did nothing and claimed that advances were made “outside of work” even though proof was shown to have happened inside of the workplace. So if you do work here don’t count on HR to help you out unless you’re related to a higher up at this company. Cool coworkers and the work wasn’t hard but I wouldn’t recommend working here unless they get a new team lead or manager.
