I luv this place! It’s a cozy little shop tucked in the corner in Kakaako. And they are always so warm and welcoming.
This family-run sake and spirits store is unbelievably knowledgeable. And they get the professionals from the breweries to come visit from overseas!
I have learned so much from them, and they have the best sake selection in the state. And they also have good deals. ?
If you like sake, you have to check them out.

The shop was very clean and well-organized. The owner was very nice when we asked for recommendations. Try the apple chu-hi (pictured). It was delicious.

Amazing customer service!
So friendly, so much Aloha!
Their expert knowledge gently guided us to the best sake we have ever tasted.
We had the kinka Tedorigawa (cold sake is the best sake) and can’t wait to finish the second half tonight with some of japans best beer, Hittachino ale!
If you’ve never been to “THE SAKE SHOP” you’re missing out!

If you’re looking for sake of all ranges of quality, including ones that are exquisitely made with care and concerned for both production and sourcing of materials, go to this shop.
The woman who helped me (maybe the owner?) was knowledgeable and kind, which is something that makes me want to frequent this local business even more. There are also some accessories, and drinking vessels.

Came here on Saturday, April 29, 2023, for the Islander Sake Brewery sake tasting and to talk story with Master brewer and owner of Islander Sake Brewery, Chiaki Takahashi and co-owner Tama Hirose.

This is probably the best sake option in town. Great selection in 720ml and 1.8L magnum bottles at below market prices. I recommend the Dassai 45 for an all around good sake at a cheap price or step it up a bit with the Kokuryu Black Dragon. The owner is super nice, even bubble wrapped my sake bottles when I told her I was packing them in my check-in bag.
