I always go to this location and never had any issues with staff. I went there with my friend very recently and we wanted to buy a candle that my friend really liked. Although, the cap was damaged as the elastic band was stuck around the jar and not in the actual lid, the jar and lid were both glass. I asked the cashier who also was the manager and said if we can get a markdown for the damaged lid. She refused to help and she refused to sell us the product because she claimed that the elastic band was a fire hazard and took away the candle. Excuse me, a fire hazard? The candle jar and all of its supplies are WEATHERPROOF and are supposed to not burn, why else would they make it for candles? We really liked the candle and told her if she can cut the elastic band around the jar, she did it but with an attitude. And I said if it is a fire hazard, why would you have it on your shelf? Her answer was that they don’t check each and every item, well if you’re not going to spend the time to check everything then don’t give customers nasty attitude when they ask for a markdown for your damaged shelf items. I’m not interested in coming back to this location because of that manager.

This place is a mess. I get it... You have the fall/winter merchandise now but organize it so it is easy for the shopper to find what they are looking for. I think you just need a bigger space or less merchandise. Very long lines.

Great deals and lots of shopping BUT when it’s busy the lines become long. It’s hot inside too but I found some really cute items that I normally wouldn’t find at my local TJ MAXX.

Stopped in and found a great deal on a few things I was looking for. The reason for the 2-Star rating is that you have to be prepared to wait in line for a LONG time. Shoppers behind me told me it's worse later in the day. Give me a break, you can't find more people to help out with check out

Horrible store. First of all, the long blonde haired male supervisor or manager that was working tonight should be fired. It's a little before 9 30 which is their closing time and I'm already walking to the register. Mind you I'm a senior and can't necessarily run through the store. As I'm walking, this guy comes up behind me screaming "we're closing we're closing!". I told him okay, you see I'm walking to the registers, he continues to follow behind me and said "go this way" pointing to a different, longer route to the front of the store. I turn to him and said no, I'm going this way, and continued my way to the register. Not only was this guy super disrespectful, but he obviously could see that I'm not a young girl, I have trouble walking and he still walked behind me through the store, rushing me to the front.

Then, once I get to the front to pay, I gave the cashier two 10 dollar rewards that I received on my tj maxx credit card. She looked at me as if I was trying to steel the frying pan I was buying! When I gave her the second reward, she gasped and gave me an even worse look! The whole encounter made me feel so extremely uncomfortable. I have no idea what's wrong with these employees at this location but I will not be coming back and will be reporting to corporate. Absolutely disgusting treatment towards older customers and terrible attitude from the cashier!!!!!

I tried writing a survey about my horrible experience but the website completed my survey without even giving me an option to write a comment about what happened.

I am a tj maxx maxxinista!!! Love the Maxx, however I was very disappointed with this location in particular. Store was very disorganized, messy, & unfortunately had a not so pleasant scent. Definitely won't be going back to this location!

I made a purchase in Mount prospect with my TJ Maxx card and tried to do a return at this location with the same card without a receipt the young lady claimed that she couldn't do it and then she had like she went to another register and a system still wouldn't let her do it That's very unusual went straight to the car and called customer service and said yes you can return with your credit card The lady was very unprofessional and I will be going back to talk to the manager in the store all because it was four people in line one cashier and four or five people behind the register hanging clothes I yelled out and asked if somebody help and then all of a sudden I couldn't do a return so very unprofessional store..
