Disappointing and overpriced - was told a skirt that had shabby seams and had bits hanging on by literal safety pins cost £19.00. Charging that much for a second-hand item, in a charity shop, let alone one that is poor quality, is absolutely ridiculous. Not the first time either - bought a skirt for £15 a year ago and all the buttons came off.

Sometimes interesting gear, but way overpriced, staff slightly narcissistic, righteous and many times rude. Won't give you used bags from donations, but they'll gladly sell you a 'green' one. To sum it all up, optics more important than reality: a Messiah complex, a ruthless capitalist approach to keep profits coming in for an oversized organisation, green washing , all defeating the purpose of charity.

Shameful experience, I've been trying to call both brixton branch and the number for collections and no one ever picks up!
No matter if morning or afternoon they will just not answer and not get back to you if you leave a message.
I've been wanting to donate some great clothing like suits shirts jackets and more branded stuff also some baby clothing and couldn't get trough to them.
In the end I decided to walk with a huge suitcase exactly at 10am opening time and as soon as I walked trough the door the person behind the counter with the most automatic sentence I ever heard:
We do not accept donations at the shop we are full and have no space.
I explained her that it was very good clothing and I wouldn't like to go to waste.
She told me to "chuck" everything on the containers in front of tesco.
Well let me tell you something, that it's not absolutely the core spirit of your shop and management should be aware.
This kind of business should be lead by humans and emotions not cold hearted cheeky people looking for the easier solution.

Poor experience, very disorganised and busy. No sizes on hangars make browsing a nightmare. Trinity Hospice down the road is far superior in every way.

Very disappointing CUSTOMER SERVICE. BEWARE: WON'T REFUND only exchange or credit note even if it's their fault.

I wanted to purchase a make-up bag, and asked the cashier how much it was. She dismissively (no eye contact, curt tone) said the price should be on there - it wasn't.

Then I asked her if the item I wanted to purchase was leather, as I wanted something that would last. She checked the item and said it likely was as the brand was good. So I purchased the bag in good faith, not knowing the refund policy as I've never shopped there before.

I came home and checked with my flatmate who works in leather goods, he said it categorically was not real leather.

Attempted to take the bag back today (9 days since purchase), and the cashier backtracked on what she said. Told me I could not get a refund only exchange. I said I wasn't made aware of this and she pointed at a tiny sign saying that it says 'everywhere in the shop, and she can't tell everyone this.'

Then said I could TRY again ( I don't live in London) at another store or on Friday when the manager is back. Really disappointing! Item still has the label on and I won't be using it. It's a shame because I thought the ethos of the shop was ETHICAL and about reducing waste. Won't be shopping here again!

It’s ok but Traid aren’t really a charity shop relative to others. Charity shops are not just about raising funds but also about being charitable to their community and this branch simply isn’t that. Serves the middle classes fine, but the prices are obscene in comparison to many other places in the local area. They’ll say they’re "striking" a balance with the copy and pasted reply but ultimately they charge far higher prices than other charity shops for the same items.

I found some attractive items but I left without buying anything. I feel that a Christmas jumper with a hole at the back should not be priced €24. Most of items are in my opinion overpriced.

Lovely charity shop, friendly staff & great quality bargains to be had. The charity cares about recycling clothes and child labour. I BOUGHT myself a brand new, (with manufacture labels still attached) running top. Thank you Traid- well pleased
